But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” I Peter 2:24
Can you see the significance of these two scriptures? The first passage was written hundreds of years before Christ came the first time. The second passage is Peter's divine revelation of what Christ has already done for you. Delight in this good news. Jesus Christ has borne your sins and your illnesses!
